An interesting new site is out, dedicated to allowing the interwebs to invite and track changes for good in our congressmen and women.
The concept is simple, people in each district can keep track of their own Congressperson. They can contact the congressperson and invite them to take the pledge. Then they track the progress using
Change-Congress.org. Easy as that.
So join up and make stuff better.

cherrybomb @ 03/24/08 "they are congressmen. i refuse to use this new "person" crap.... its just like firement and policemen. its a general term. it has nothing to do with being a man...
any way, good idea. thanks for posting this here." |

Applegoogle @ 03/24/08 "It's all about the quality of thoughts. The use of "men" may sound like small potatoes to you, but when you think about the fact that you are calling a woman in Congress a man with that part of speech, then it becomes a problem." |

cherrybomb @ 03/26/08 "its just a general term. like when i refer to mankind i dont have to say man and woman kind... you know? it doesnt bother me because its a general term. but anyway thats not really what this was about anyway" |

FredFredrickson @ 03/26/08 "But if you really break it down, mankind is really two words: Mank, and Ind. Neither of which make any sense. So in essense, mankind doesn't even make any sense." |
