Neato Gadgets

So, to follow up the save-the-earth preachy post, and to give a break from my constant bitching about the world, I thought I'd showcase a few neat gadgets that I've noticed over the past month or so that you should all buy because they're cool.

Our first item here looks to be just a normal clock. But wanna know what it really is? It's the ability to watch people get naked when you're not around. Or the ability to see what your cats really do when you're gone. Or the ability to prove that lepricons steal your underwear when you're not looking. That's right folks, it's a clock that looks like a clock but is actually a motion activated video camera. How freakin cool is that?! It also comes in a few colors. Get it.

Since we were on the topic of spying, a much cheaper solution out there for those of you who want to be leet spies but can't afford that neato clock up there, here's a standard film camera that looks like a drink box, and costs around $10. It's a bit more obvious, but I think you can get some good camera sniping in.

Ok, so this ones a tad more on topic with my last save-the-earth preachy post, but it's still cool. This thing comes with a handheld device that lets you see how much electricity you're using, or helps you calculate the cost - all in real time. Cool thing about this is that it lights up blue to red depending on how much juice you're using. Personally, this device would give me more stress and heart attacks than it's worth. But if you're really interested in getting your electricity usage down, this will help.

And lastly, this one doesn't actually exist. It's concept art, but it certainly does look cool. My guess is that this would never actually fly in the real world do to the fact that the cd is just spinning in air and is too easy to stop and possibly harm the motor. It's also just not realistic for portibility. A real cd player will work on a bus in your lap or in your bag. This will need to be held. But anyway, looks cool. I give it a 8 out of 10 for neat-look-ability.

That's all for now. Tune in next time when I start ranting again.
