Experiment

I have recently been accused of hating everything. In truth, I don’t hate anything. Some things annoy me, mostly capitalism, conformity, and people who take life too seriously (and Bill Gates). I am sorry that the writing you see here shows me only as being perpetually peeved. Unfortunately, however, for those of us who DON’T take life too seriously, sarcasm and cynicism is funny. Much funnier than mushy feel-good drivel (I enjoy writing the word “drivel”. I mean, look at it: “drivel”. Does that make anybody else giggle?). Look, if you will, at famous stand-up comics or comedy writers: with the exception of Bill Cosby (who is absolutely hilarious), they are, as a group, cynical, caustic, crotchety people (performing groups are different-they are able to be funny just by being absurd, although many of them are just as cruel). Some of them are openly sarcastic, while others are more gentle in their criticisms. But I am willing to attempt the daring experiment of writing a few feel-good articles (let’s try one a month). I will do my best to make them amusing, but I need your feedback (I also apologize if my other articles haven’t been amusing. Let me know how you feel about that, too)
